Lynn Biscott, CFP, R.F.P., has been involved in the financial services industry as a human resources executive, fee-only financial planner and independent consultant, for more than 20 years. Since 1999, she has operated her own firm, Fernwood Consulting Group Inc., which specializes in financial education and communications. Throughout her career, she has been involved in the design and delivery of training programs, and in the development of written materials on financial planning issues. She has designed and conducted training for financial professionals for organizations such as Foran Financial Institute, the Canadian Initiative for Elder Planning Studies, CIBC, and CCH Canadian. As a technical writer, she has prepared case studies, examination material, and resource material for the Canadian Securities Institute, Advocis, and the Financial Planners Standards Council.
Ms. Biscott holds an M.Ed. in Adult Education from the University of Toronto, as well as the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Registered Financial Planner (RFP) designations. She is a member of the Institute of Advanced Financial Planners (IAFP), the Canadian Association of Pre-retirement Planners (CAPP), and the Canadian Institute of Financial Planners (CIFPS).
