About the Author
Ian Turnbull, BA, MBA, is Managing Director of Laird & Greer Management Consultants, focusing on the assessment and selection of Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS). He is a Director of Earning Through Learning offering online learning to the business community, and serves as a Director of The Canadian Privacy Institute, editing it's next book on Privacy due in mid-2014. Throughout his career he has served the HR community having held positions as: President of the Human Resource Professionals of York Region (HRPYR), Chair of the International Association of Human Resource Information Management (IRHIM), President of ASTD, President of ASHROD, and the Federal Engineering Manpower Council. He attained the CHRP designation in 1991 and was Chair of the Canadian Council of HR Associations (CCHRA) when it announced the Canada-wide CHRP reciprocation. In October 2002 he was given the President's Award from the International Public Management Association of Canada (IPMA) for making an outstanding contribution to the practice of human resources management in Canada.
