This product is an electronic audit tool based on accepted principles, national & international standards for managing business records and information. The tool provides a gap analysis style self-audit that provides a detailed report of strengths & weaknesses in the current program for managing information as well as an action plan for rectifying the deficiencies.
The three modules included in the basic Toolkit address: • Records Management Best Practice (based on ISO 15489) • Privacy requirements (based on the Canadian Standards Association Model Code for the Protection of Personal Information) • Regulatory requirements (based on Canadian Securities Administrators National Policy 58-201 Corporate Governance Guidelines (the Policy) and National Instrument 58-101 Disclosure of Corporate Governance Practices, which in turn, reflect the U.S. Sarbanes-Oxley Act)
Each Module consists of a series of questions. After answering each question in the module, reports can be generated to provide action plans for future program enhancements. These reports can be used after subsequent audits to measure improvements since the previous assessment was completed. There are also a series of sample documents that can be used as templates which you can tailor to your individual situation and requirements.
Additional modules for the toolkit are available that address: • Electronic Records (based on the CGSB standard Electronic Records as Documentary Evidence) • Imaging Records (based on the CGSB standard Microfilm and Electronic Images as Documentary Evidence)
Price of additional modules $100 per module.
