Credentials: Jane Speakman is a Solicitor with the City of Toronto and practices almost exclusively in the area of public health law.
Lori Stoltz, B.A., LL.B., was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1990. She was a Partner at Goodman and Carr LLP from 1998 to 2006, prior to joining Adair Morse LLP as Partner. She practices civil and administrative law, with a particular emphasis in health law litigation. Her health law experience includes such wide-ranging matters as: medical negligence, product liability pertaining to drugs and medical devices (including class proceedings), regulatory negligence of public authorities, OHIP coverage issues, regulation of health professionals, health care facilities and institutions, public health, health and human rights, and constitutional law. She has also acted on behalf of individuals and organizations in relation to a wide range of HIV-related matters.
Lori was Chair of the Health Protection Appeal Board from 1993 to 1998, and from April 2002 to December 2003 was Senior Policy Advisor to the Honourable A. Anne McLellan, Minister of Health (Canada). She is a frequent speaker at conferences and the author of many articles and publications, including Public Health Law and Practice in Ontario: Health Protection and Promotion Act (Carswell, 2008), which she co-authored with Rod Blake and Jane Speakman.
Rod Blake contributed to this book while on sabbatical from his position as Assistant Corporate Counsel, Legal Services, Regional Municipality of Halton.
