Credentials: David Debenham is counsel at Lang Michener. In addition to an LL.B., LL.M. and an MBA, Mr. Debenham is a Certified Forensic Investigator (C.F.I.), Certified Fraud Examiner (C.F.E), and Certified Management Accountant (C.M.A.), is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ACIS) and has a Diploma in Investigative and Forensic Accounting (D.I.F.A.).
As a result, as part of his legal practice, David uses his training as an accountant to trace funds, and assert personal claims against directors and senior managers of corporate debtors. David also taught commercial law at the University of Ottawa for several years.
