For the convenience of our customers, new editions of bound books, annual subscriptions and periodicals are issued to customers automatically as soon as they become available, which is a condition called Standing Order (for bound books) and Subscription (annual and periodical subscriptions).
Bound Books
Unless otherwise instructed at the time of the order, we place purchasers of bound books on standing order to automatically receive replacement annual or biennial editions and supplemental material. Customers have the option of requesting to be placed on Advise status for notification when new editions are published.
NOTE: This policy is limited to single copy purchases and does not apply to bulk orders.
Annual and Periodical Subscriptions
Unless otherwise instructed at the time of the order, purchasers are automatically placed on subscription and automatically renewed and invoiced for subsequent subscription periods. A shipping and handling charge is included on the renewal invoices to cover costs involved in the delivery of the updates/parts over the subscription period.
Assignment
The Subscriber may not assign, sub-license, or otherwise transfer or encumber Agreements, or any of Subscriber’s rights or obligations under Agreements, to any person except with the prior written consent of Carswell. Carswell may assign or transfer Agreements and/or any rights or obligations to any affiliate of Carswell’s, and Carswell or such affiliate-assignee may assign or transfer Agreements and/or any rights or obligations to any third-party successor to all or substantially all of the business or assets of Carswell, in each case without the prior consent of Subscriber.
