Getting Started

When you first purchase your Online service or CD-ROM product, your account representative will book a training session for you. One of our Learning Consultants will work with you to ensure that you are ready to start maximizing your investment.

Telephone Training

Telephone training is a preferred learning environment for many of our customers. These hands-on, individual sessions are conducted over the phone at a time that is convenient for you. Your Learning Consultant will assess your learning needs and focus on functions and content that are of the most interest to you. Individual WebEx sessions are available, as well as group WebEx sessions.

One-on-One Sessions

These sessions offer hands-on training in your own office using your own computer. You will be guided through your session by an experienced Learning Consultant who will review all the basic concepts inherent in our Online services and CD-ROM products with you. With a minimum investment of your time, you’ll be ready to get started with CD-ROM/Online research. Use this approach to schedule individual training for each member of your organization, respecting their unique and busy schedules.

Group Seminars

If you prefer a lecture style class, the Group Seminar may be your preferred starting point for training. These sessions are not hands-on but demonstrate clearly all of the functionality of the Carswell Online research solutions and CD-ROM products using a live, interactive demonstration projected onto a screen. This is a fast, effective way to train a group in your own boardroom or off-site. The time required can be customized to your needs, however our experiences has shown that 90 minutes is optimum.

Hands-on Lab Sessions

If you prefer hands-on training, the Lab Session is the way to go and is designed for groups of up to 10 participants. Each member of the group uses a computer while our experienced Learning Consultant guides the class through the functionality of the Carswell Online research solutions and CD-ROM products.

Customized Training

If you have some very specific needs, Carswell Learning Consultants will be pleased to conduct a formal needs assessment to identify your training needs and design a customized solution for your organization. Meeting your needs is our top priority!
