Product Writer
As a Product Writer, you will write and plan the content of specific Major Market print and electronic publications.
Your duties will include:
· researching, tracking, and reviewing developments for inclusion in products;
· providing writing, for various publications, that is consistent with all Carswell editorial standards;
· keeping abreast of and implementing all changes and styles which impact writing;
· providing timely, accurate and topical information for assigned product;
· sourcing editorial material and maintaining an efficient network of internal and external sources and contacts upon which to draw for content, topics, contributions and clarifications;
· researching, tracking and reviewing primary material requiring analysis in publications; and
· writing and delivering timely manuscript, including release notes.
You will be a strong team player and will possess:
· a university degree or college equivalent;
· 1-3 years experience working in a business environment;
· the ability to understand business terminology and the ability to synthesize and summarize content concisely and accurately;
· strong communications skills, including superior written communication skills;
· a strong focus on attention to detail and quality results;
· the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment with minimum direct supervision;
· a positive attitude and presence and the ability to interact with individuals at different levels;
· a strong customer service focus;
· the ability to work under tight deadlines and to handle a variety of activities simultaneously;
· working knowledge of Internet and application search techniques; and
· a high proficiency with all Microsoft Office tools and a willingness to learn and interest in new technologies and electronic tools as required.
