Print Sales Professional - Provincial Government Accounts 

 

As a Print Sales Professional you will position Carswell as the supplier of choice for Provincial Government accounts across Canada. You will cultivate new accounts, secure and protect all existing revenue streams while finding new ones within existing accounts, and will continue to grow overall sector revenue. Strong business development, account management, leadership, negotiation skills, and issues management will be critical success factors. This role will require ongoing collaboration with the Sales Manager and with the extended Carswell team to understand the account opportunities.

 

You will work closely with the Online Account Manager, Customer Care, and Marketing Team to create an account plan, and provide a consistent and superior experience for these strategic accounts.

 

Your duties will include:

·         Growing revenue and protecting existing revenue streams – through strong account management skills matched with product knowledge, uncover new revenue opportunities in the firms growing their annual revenue commitments to Carswell;

·         Cultivating new clients within the market: Comfortable cold calling and a high activity level in a competitive market place;

·         Developing and Executing a Strategic Plan: Reviewing existing accounts and our publishing plan and competitive landscape with a view to current services, and developing a strategy to approach the untapped market opportunities.  Through ongoing collaboration with Sales Manager, determine priorities in order to successfully achieve revenue targets; and

·         Managing Account Relationships: Understanding how the public sector operates, develop effective account plans to execute against. Identify the influencers and decision makers and their decision making process for all key accounts.

 

Administration:

  • reporting monthly or as required on all sales activity, market trends, competitor information and individual projects;
  • recording sales and call activity using a CRM;
  • weekly forecasting of sales;
  • developing key account plans for each account keeping them up to date;
  • managing and reporting on all business expenses;
  • The role is head office based with occasional travel required; and
  • Attend, participate in, and report on all meetings, sales conferences, company sponsored training initiatives and relevant trade shows/conventions.

 

You will be a strong team player and will possess:

·         a post secondary education, preferably in law, or equivalent business experience;

·         5+ years executive level sales experience;

·         analytical and problem solving abilities;

·         excellent verbal and written communication skills;

·         superb presentation and demonstration skills;

·         planning and goal setting experience;

·         a willingness to travel and occasionally work on weekends; and

·         PC skills (MS Office).
