Product Writer - CED
(1-year contract)
As a Product Writer you will research, write, update and plan the content of CED titles and supplements in print and electronic formats and plan the content of specific CED titles.
Your duties will include:
· learning and applying all applicable Corporate and product-specific editorial standards;
· keeping abreast of, and implementing as requested, all styles changes and technological developments;
· reviewing recent case law and legislative developments for the purpose of updating CED titles by means of supplements, title replacements and the reviewing and updating of outside contract manuscripts;
· working on-line in the CED product database in order to achieve the efficiencies of database publishing and electronic manuscript preparation;
· participating in operational and policy decisions concerning issues such as how best to deal with significant statute amendments and revisions;
· proposing enhancements for CED, including the ongoing review and critique of existing titles; and
· pro-actively looking for ways to reduce costs and introduce efficiencies to the editorial methodology.
You will be a strong team player and will possess:
· a law degree;
· extensive product-specific content knowledge;
· exceptional written and verbal English communication skills;
· demonstrated research and writing skills;
· computer literacy (electronic version of product); and
· the ability to work under tight deadlines.
